Drawing has been a special skill I've always had, whether it be on the back of the junk mail at my grandparents', on my grade school notebooks or in the margins of the college notes. If I needed it, I drew it and I still do. Sometimes these days to save time I use an existing image and alter it, but I always improve, tear it apart, and make it mine.
As much as I like the books that filter through my home, quality pens and pencils are the icing for me. Ask my family how much I love a new box of crayons or drawing pencils. There's something beautiful about the smell and feel of paper, even though through the years I can draw as well with a mouse and a graphics program.
This being said, I highly recommend going to Iron Leaf Press in Mount Vernon, Iowa for quality supplies and all the feels a typeset press can bring.
